In July 2023, a simple Taco Tuesday gathering quickly evolved into something much more meaningful. Urban Taco wasn’t just born from a love of food; it was sparked by a vision to celebrate culture, heritage, and the power of bringing people together through bold, authentic flavors.

For our founder, Jasmine Martinez, this business is deeply personal. As the child of a Black mother and a Mexican father, Urban Taco became her way of honoring both sides of her identity. It’s more than a catering business. It’s a celebration of who she is, where she comes from, and the rich cultural traditions that shaped her love for cooking. Every taco we serve carries that story, that passion, and that pride.
